FSB Pro is able to trade forex strategies via MetaTrader 4 (MT4). The connection between the two programs is possible trough a MT4 Expert Advisor and a library (*.dll) file.

This article describes how you can install the required expert and library files manually. However, you can do it automatically by using our tool: FSB-MT4 Bridge Installer.

Forex Strategy Builder Professional uses two files: “FSB-MT4 Bridge.mq4” and “FSB-MT4 Bridge.dll”. They are included in the program distribution at C:\Program Files\Forex Strategy Builder Pro\User Files\MT4 Files folder.

The expert requires Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) to be installed on your machine (you can check if it is present on your machine by going to the Windows Control Panel → Add/Remove Programs). MetaTrader stores its data files in the computer AppData. The easiest way to reach them is from Forex Strategy Builder Professional menu: go to File → Open Data Folder command.

After opening the MetaTrader Data Folder, you have to close the MetaTrader terminal.

• Copy “FSB-MT4 Bridge.mq4” in MQL4\Experts folder;
• Delete MQL4\Experts\mqlcache.dat. This will force MetaTrader to recompile the experts.
• Copy “FSB-MT4 Bridge.dll” in MQL4\Libraries folder;

After starting MetaTrader it will load “FSB-MT4 Bridge” and you can find it among the other experts.

Now you can connect Forex Strategy Builder Professional to MetaTrader 4: Connecting to a MT4 Chart.
