Topic: Minimum Number of Trades per Strategy in Portfolio

In order to add a strategy in the portfolio expert advisor,

What is the miminum number of trades each strategy should have when backtesting via the generator or reactor?

I see that 300 minimum regardless of timeframe and others do differently.

Re: Minimum Number of Trades per Strategy in Portfolio

In my experience every time I open an EA in FSB and check the portfolio, the EA is added automatically, the EA it looks as independent to the number of trades it generates to be included in the portfolio.

The Generator (Reactor) creates new strategies. We cannot backtest an existing strategy with the Generator, we can do it with the Validator or to simply load it in the Editor.

EA Studio has a Minimum number of trader = 100 in the Acceptance Criteria by default. We found out this number works very well. However, you may reduce it, if you have a lower number of bars.
