Topic: Backtesting a Portfolio EA in MT4

Hi Guys.  Just wondering if it is possible to backtest a portfolio EA in MT4.  I have backtested the individual EAs in MT4 which worked fine and then combined into a Portfolio EA and tried to backtest and no positions were opened up.  Does the Portfolio EA only work in live trading?

The Portfolio Expert is an ordinary Expert Advisor.

You test it in the MetaTrader tester like you test any other Expert.

Please note that the default entry amount for the Portfolio Expert is 0.01 lots.
Your broker may require a minimum of 0.1 lots.

Please also check the MT Journal for suspicious messages.
