Hi stuwi1973 follow this: History center -> MT4 HST Import -> select imput directory (your forex broker data) and output directory where you will find the converted files

I have tried that but still doesnt work newbie what i did was create two folders on the desktop and point the directory to those folders created a new data source path but when i hit download it doesnt display in the symbols window

Why download? Create 2 folders on the desktop, an input and an output. On the first copy the HST files that interest you, on the second there will be the FSB excel files. Now follow: history center -> mt4 hst import -> input choose the folder containing the broker files (hst), output select the previously created destination folder -> click import button -> now you can copy the new excel files to data directory. Try this
