Topic: Waiting for data...

After installing and setting all of data folders, the software continues waiting for data.
All seems to be right, but system don't run.
Could someone help me?

Re: Waiting for data...

Can you post a screenshot?

Check if you have the necessary data files.

Sometimes when you unsuccessfully try loading a missing file and put the file after that, FSB doesn't want to load it again (because the program marks it internally as missing or bad file).
The solution is to restart the program.

Re: Waiting for data...

When you do Data Import, the program clears the loaded data log.

You will see the loaded data log when you open a strategy.

Re: Waiting for data...

When i open a strategy, the message is same.
I think the trouble could be born by the free space of the hard disk

Re: Waiting for data...

Please go to Data Sources page in the Control Panel.
Select "MT4 DATA" data source.
Click on "Open Data Directory" link. It will open the data folder of the "MT4 DATA" data source.
Check if you have EURUSD60.csv file.

Try with different Data Source, for example with the default one.

Re: Waiting for data...

Re: Waiting for data...

Is it your first run?

Data Statistics page only show the data loaded by other tools. This page does not load data files.
When you download data from the "Data Download" page, it resets the currently loaded data from the other tools. It is normal to see empty data stats after downloading data. The stats appear again when you open a strategy.

What happens when you go to a new strategy?

As a final solution, you can restart FSB.

Re: Waiting for data...

I have tried restarting, reinstalling etc... Nothing works I have tried also tried to wait over an hour and create new strategy.
But I have tried it on a Windows server 2012 r2 x64, and it works there, but on my Windows 10 x64 computer I don't get it to work.

Re: Waiting for data...

FSB supports Win 10 - 64 bit. I'm using such environment for development.

The problem must be other.

Please go to Control Panel -> Data Sources page.

Select "FSB Demo Data" data source and click on the "Open Data Directory" link. It will open the currently set folder.
See if it is the folder with your data files.

Re: Waiting for data...

Everything looks OK.

It can be a localization issue.

Can you give me a TeamViewer access? Send me the login info to PM or call me via skype.
I'll send you details via PM.

Re: Waiting for data...

Can you try setting your local format to English Us from the Windows Control Panel?

Re: Waiting for data...

Thanks for excellent support! Popov found the problem, it had to do with the date and time format on my computer.
Had to change it to English: USA, h:mm:ss, anyways he said he was gonna patch it in the next version of FSB Pro smile

This is the format the data.csv has to be in to work:
2008-01-01    10:30    1.45877    1.45904    1.45844    1.45857    16176

Re: Waiting for data...

The reported issue is fixed in Forex Strategy Builder Pro v3.2.6.2 Early Access.

It has to load now the files in your native format. Please report if the problem still presents.

Re: Waiting for data...

Hi
I have a problem with fixed in Forex Strategy Builder Pro v3.8.8, I can't access to data and receive this error "Data file wanted "

Re: Waiting for data...

The most common reason is that FSB Pro doesn't find the files.

Please be sure that the required files exist in the correct folder of the Data Source.

To check that, please navigate to Control Panel -> Data Sources. Select the correct Data source on the left. Then click on the "Open Data Directory" link. Check if the files are there.

Check also the base file name is correct. Do that in Control Panel -> Symbols. Select the Data source at top of the page. Select the correct symbol. Then see the base file name and a filename example at the bottom of the page.

If everything is fine and FSB Pro still does not find the data, restart the program.

If you still cannot figure it out, post screenshots of the Control Panel pages and your data directory.
We will find and solve the problem for sure.

Re: Waiting for data...

Hi Dear Miroslav

Thanks for your great support and guidance, I checked all the instructions but the problem exists now ,it is question for me that when i installed the FSB on my wife laptop it works well and load  all demo data  , but in my case and my laptop it dose not load primary data like data bars, time of updating and beginning ,Account statistic, Balance /Equity chart and so on as screenshot that attached in below..
anyway i am thinking of reinstalling of my laptop OS although it is unpleasant for me cause I will lost my applicable soft wares.
I am looking forward to your response before reinstalling my OS.

Best Regards

Re: Waiting for data...

Mrleon, I see a different numbering format, instead of 0.00001 there is 0/00001. I'm wondering if that is preventing data read-out from the file. Can you try and change number format in your computer's regional settings?
