Topic: Converting Indicator in New Format

Please post here all custom indicators you want to be converted in the new FSB Pro format.

Next FSB and FST versions will use a new format, compatible with FSB Pro.
I'll convert all attached or linked indicators.

Conversion doesn't affect indicators values and signals. It includes mainly changes in the constructor and methods declarations.

I'll fix only indicators format and will not check deeply for logical or calculation errors.

You can test converted indicators with FSB Pro and FSB 2.81 Beta.

Converting Legacy Indicators in FSB Pro Format Guide

I used Footon's Adaptible MACD indicator for example in this tutorial.
Both code files (legacy and converted are attached):

goodmorning,
I have been using this indi for my simulated trading and felt comfortable with. Now I would like to use this tool to have it in FSB to try building a strategy (it gives clear signals and easy to understand).

It's in my plans, will start converting soon.

I'll make a tutorial for easier converting. It will include a description of the changes and what to Copy/Paste from the new format.

I'm using two Notepad++ windows. One on the left with some of the new indicators and another window with open 5-6 of the old indicators. I copy/paste method declarations to all old indicators. Move some initializations from the old constructor to the new one, and with some renaming, it takes 2 minutes per indicator.

I'll try to make this tutorial tomorrow.

ExamDiff, you will find this very easy to use , editing of file is possible.

I started conversion of the indicators form the last post in this forum. The indicators are uploaded in the repo: http://repo.forexsb.com/repository_indicators/

Please check them with the latest FSB v2.98 RC.

There are few issues with the repo:

- ignoring new line symbols in the description,
- misspelling command in command box: "Edit decription"
- Links are black and it's difficult to notice.

I hope Yavor will fix the issues shortly.
After that I'll link the repo from the SiteNav menu.

The changes required to update indi are quite intensive

For what?

I already converted all published indicators. Also I offered a help with the indicators conversion two months ago.
Every one skilled enough to make a custom indicator will be able to convert it for minutes.

I cannot load any FSB strategy in Pro due to the indicators (in my case, better bollinger bands). When I start Pro it says the indicators were loaded, but then it's not able to load the strategy and tells me to search for an indicator in the repository (which I did, but nothing changed).

I tested "better bollinger bands". After clicking "Load" it was loaded and later shown among the other indicators.

Can you reproduce your steps that leads to the issue. I'll fix it.

Well there are still many strategies I can't trade in new FSB/FST
e.g. AROON histogram wtf v.4
and other
so if there are all indis converted why these are not in repository?

WTF indicators can be converted to FSB Pro, but there is a better way.
FSB Pro comes with Longer Time Frame feature integrated.
You simply set the desired Period (or even Symbol) for the indicator.

i have a request long time ago regarding '' Link & lock '' options

Now with the great number of newly added feature to generator we need to apply the link & lock not to the whole slot only  but also to the elements inside each slot ( if possible )

To be more precise
There are still indicators that were available in old version
like the Aroon
And these were not ported to new version.
So does it mean you no longer support them?

Please refer to the author of these indicators. I personally converted all mine indicators and almost 100 others. (FOR FREE)

I'm developing FSB  for 14 years 12-18 hours per day. And you can use it FREE. It is available for free use from 8 years. And it is still available FOR FREE.

What more you want.

How many hours you have used FSB / FST and how much you paid for it???

Have you donated to the project? Even 1cent per hour you have used it??

And if I reply to all your requests, is it mean you'll donate 1 dollar??

Mr. Popov,

I know you are devoted to the project. And you have huge thanks for the development.
And yes I donated once or twice.
What I am trying to bring your attention is that you are now selling new version
and this new version is in some way not better than the old free version.
I am willing to buy it for Christ sake that's why I would like to get better product than I have now for free
