Re: historical data

Both formats are functionally equal.

The Forex Strategy Builder export is more precise regarding the format of the numbers. It rounds all values to the corresponding number of digits.

The file name for MT includes the period as a text, and FSB Pro includes the period as a number of minutes.

The column delimiter is a comma for MT and a tab for FSB Pro.

MetaTrader format: EURUSD_D1.csv

2008-08-29 00:00,1.47342,1.47674,1.46368,1.46714,776991
2008-08-31 00:00,1.46748,1.47198,1.46135,1.46316,54395
2008-09-01 00:00,1.463,1.46686,1.45543,1.45886,863630

Forex Strategy Builder format: EURUSD1440.csv

2008-08-29 00:00 1.47342 1.47674 1.46368 1.46714 776991
2008-08-31 00:00 1.46748 1.47198 1.46135 1.46316 54395
2008-09-01 00:00 1.46300 1.46686 1.45543 1.45886 863630

Both formats work for FSB Pro.

Re: historical data

Thank you for your detailed explanation. So numerically, they are not different from each other

No difference. All formats export equal price data. The difference is only in the formatting.

Re: historical data

Thank you so much
