Topic: Preset indicators question

Quick question regarding preset indicators. If I select let’s say Entry time as a preset indicator and run the reactor does the values in the entry time matter ie if I select 2:00pm-5:00pm will the reactor only generate strategies entering trades at this given time? Or will it generate strategies which include the entry time indicator which could have any number of time values of which of optimal for that particular strategy?

Hello Michael, excellent question

Yes, the reactor will generate strategy that trades at this given time 2:00pm-5:00pm. If you want to optimize the parameters with Reactor>Optimization, please check in the Strategy > Optimizer, the "Optimize Preset Indicators" option.

Now after the Reactor Generator finish it will optimize the full parameters of the strategy (including the preset indicators).
