Topic: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

Hello dear users,

I'll start making video tutorials about different features of FSB Pro. I think to make 2-3 tutorials per week,

What tutorials do you want to see?

Re: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

I want to see strategy generation "live".
I would like to see strategy generation of each time frame live.
One for M1, One for M5, One for M15 etc.
In other words I want to see the FSB Pro WORKING.
So I will learn more about its behaviour.
You wrote to me a few days earlier that I when I master the FSB Pro
then I will not need intrabar data because I will generate strategies
with no abingous bars only using the desired time frame data.
I would like to see it working properly from you.
So I suggest to create videos with a few hours duration
each simply preseding the FSB Pro working with not cuts.
First you will set up the desired time frame, set up the strategy properties,
selecting the indicators from the editor, then go to the generator,
choose the acceptance criteria and the other options, ling or lock
the desired conditions and then LET THE FSB Pro WORK AS LONG AS IT IS
NECESSARY TO PRODUCE A SAMPLE OF REAL STRATEGIES.
Then open the strategies collections and read the statistics.
The real time demonstration is very important for me because
it will show me how is the correct behaviour of the program.
Until now I only know the behaviour of the program from my choices
and I don't know if I follow the proper instructions.

Strategy generation is the most important gift of FSB Pro and
must be demonstrated in detail.
Buy my experience every single step is important
and someone must do all the steps in order to master a procedure.

Don't think that this would be boring for the user who watches the video.
Each one can forward the video and go to a later point.
Also you can split it (I don't suggest it) or write a list of contests
and inform the watcher about the time of the start of each sub procedure.
But I think that each watcher will find out easily the start of each
sub procedure with no additional help except the video its self.

Also please make a suggestion about of the minimal system requirements
if there are any.

I like your recommendations, Mathimatikos. I really hope Popov will take them to heart and create what you are asking for, since I believe there are a ton of users who want to see a full-featured and specific guide to using the program.

What I think might not fit is the format of the videos - you are talking about long videos here (like an hour or so). I think videos should be up to 20-30 minutes long at most. I don't think strategy generation for a single time frame would take more time.

By the way -- did you watch the webinars? Which ones? Did you like them?

Re: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

I have used FSB for a long time, I have also watched all the webinars. I hope that I understand the FSB Pro quite well. But I am still encountering with the strategy overoptimization problem like many others. It will be very helpful if the upcoming webinar provdes tips how to avoid overoptimisation issues during the strategy generation.

Re: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

We should keep in mind that no matter how many, how detailed, how long and whatever, the making of a strategy is elusive and demands many, many hours of work and testing and modification..... and the best strategy will work until it does not work, and that could be one day, ten days, three months, there comes an emd to a strategy as the market shifts.

The holy grail has been eluding traders for generations and we can not depend on Popov to reveal it.

Re: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

My Dear Friends Blaiserboy and Yarov99
I think that Mr Popov wants to learn our needs and not to criticise our needs.
I don't believe that it is necessary to appologise each time I am asking something.
So I will not answer to you if I watched the webinars.

Please my friend Yarov99 remember that we had a conversation in detail in your sticky:
HELP AND SUPPORT /How to download a webinar
and you kindly answered to my my questions promptly.
A proof of our interest is that Zenoni and Mathimatikos (me)
were the only two users that had conversation with you to your sticky
and only these two people posted their needs to the present post until now.

I believe that everyone of us wants to bring FSB Pro higner and higher and
I feel grateful about Mr Popov's Generosity and Honesty.

The Japanese business managers have solved the problem and they have splitted their
business meetings to two parts:

FIRST PART: PROPOSITIONS-IDEAS-NEEDS The dialog and critism of any kind is prohibited.
Everyone is allowed to be as stupid as he wants.

SECOND PART: Dialogue about the first meeting.

The reason is that they discovered that some of the most excellent ideas seem
very stupid from the start.

So I believe that it is better to post our needs and let Mr Popov to deside.

I did not mean to offend or criticize you on watching/not watching the webinars. I do not care if you did, really. Everyone has ways of learning - some will read the help, others will watch video, third will take a hands-on approach etc.
What I wanted to know is if you find them informative, how much, what can be improved. Did you like the format?... I am assuming you watched a significant amount, if not all of them already.

My dear friend Yarov99.
I am not ungry about you.
This the reason that I informed you and all community about the Japanese Method of Progress.
Unfortunately we must train ourselves to the Japanese method. The Japanese are wise people.
They made this mistake for years and then they solved it.

About your last question my answer is that AFTER VIEWING ALL THE WEBINARS I HAVE THE
SELFCONFIDENCE TO POST MY REQUEST ABOUT SOMETHING THAT THEY DID NOT PROVIDE ME
THESE WEBINARS YET.

Re: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

2 types of vids then, how to use the program and its features, and strategy development? The latter is a very vast subject, dozens of books written about it, many schools of thought are present...

Re: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

I think that the site ADMINISTRATORS, MODERATORS  AND ALL OTHER HIGH GRADE MEMBERS
you must let the simple users to express their needs and not try to stop them from communication
with Mr Popov.

Please answer to him what would you like from his webinars and thats all.
This would help him much better.

Re: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

I see where the things are going on and completely agree with Footon.
We definitely need  the two types of videos.

However, I think the second type is more interesting.

I think to make a long video series about the strategy development and automatic trading.
something like a journey from the beginning - establishing environment, installing software, making accounts, through generating and analyzing strategies to the final step -real automatic trade on VPS.

Re: What Video Tutorials Do You Want?

Yes, I have observed Japanese solutions.

I wonder if they will be applying their solutions before the economy crashes or will they have a meeting after the disaster to apply their techniques.

Hopefully they have their marvellous methods in play soon as their economy, based on the metodologoes applied by businessmen, has been in the ditch for many years and is about to take down a good portion of the world economy.

In any case Japanese do have a much much better life standard than USA citizens and I don't see that going away anytime soon.
