i am trying to import data from FSB demo data. but i keep getting the message data download failed . any ideas what is going wrong. i also noticed that it wont let me open data folder

How exactly you can not open the "Data folder"? Please describe it in details or share screenshots.

I have the same problem since 2 days. Although I have a licensed version of FSB Pro. I still use FSB Demo Data often. In my case I click 'Download', in the Output Log it says 'Data download started' and after a couple of seconds it's says 'Data download failed'.
It must be a temporary service interruption.
The Data Download works well on my side.
Do you have the latest FSB Pro v4.1?
You can see the version on the "Start Page".
Philipmccool, please update FSB Pro to the newest version. (Currently v4.1)
We converted the Data Feed to Premium Data with FSB Pro V4.0+.
ManuB76, please try to uncheck the "Change data files timezone". I found that this may cause problems for some Windows installations, which are missing the full timezone info. I'm preparing a fix for this case now.
I unchecked the "Change data files timezone" but the same problem remains. And I checked on my side the software version for FSB Pro and it's 4.2?! How can that be if you say the newest version is v4.1?

Do you have FSB Pro v 4.3.2?
You can download the newest FSB Pro version from the project's page: Forex Strategy Builder Professional
The older FSB Pro versions have older data feed endpoints and do not work.

Can there be any issues with downloading due to using an old version? Is updating to the latest version a mandatory condition for stable operation?
The newest Forex Strategy Builder version is v4.3.2. It is connected to our latest data feed server.
You can always download the latest FSB Pro from its product page and install it over your previous installation.
Please do it and post if everything is right with the data feed.
