Topic: Money Management?

Hi Popow..

Is it possible in future relase to add MM like picture below? I think that it's working great.
Then we increase the lots when account grows. I dont think we have that in FSB?

Re: Money Management?

Hello, about this discussion i want ask if it were possible in the future to add to the program some adding money managment tool on the equity curve.

I think it wouldn't be difficult  to get a option that would allow these actions:

1. To stop the trading if the equity cross down its moving average and restart with the trading when it returns above of it.(so, to see if the total performance improves or not)

2. To reverse the buy/sell logic' strategy on the moving average.
In this way the strategy inverting the buy/sell signal, continue to trade the opposite when the equity goes under its moving average.

In this last case i think it would be necessary to get a second equity curve chart.

What do you think about it?

Re: Money Management?

I think to add a possibility the indicators to see the Account info - balance, equity, positions history, current position...

It will allow making many trading systems that depend on the account state.

On your requests:

1. To stop the trading if the equity cross down its moving average and restart with the trading when it returns above of it.

If the equity goes below its MA and you stop trading, it will never return above it back. At maximum the MA will become equal to the equity line after N bars, where N is the MA period.

2. To reverse the buy/sell logic' strategy on the moving average.

It can be possible if you set two groups of signals to two logical groups, Lets say A and B, where group A allows long entries and group B allows short entries. The logical conditions for group B have to be mirrored to the logical conditions of group A. Then two indicators (one for group A and one for group B) can monitor the account state and to start/stop the trading in their logical groups.

Re: Money Management?

You need to have an indicator which acts like the same EA, which ypothetically will calculate the balance without to play.

It is a lot of job. But it is possible.

Re: Money Management?

I think for the both points, would be necessary to get a separated derived equity chart, showing the results of the calculations made on the normal first.

For the first point i will have an a derived equity with a less numbers of trade, because the signals are filtered by the moving average on the first graph.

For the second point, the derived equity is built with a same n. of trades compared to the first graph, but it include opposite entries.

I thought about it, reading this 4pages-article:

http://www.futuresmag.com/2012/10/24/analyze-your-equity-curve?page=1

It include also other variants of the analysis.

Re: Money Management?

This Technique speaks about a single indicator also.

Re: Money Management?

That article speak about a moving average applied an equity curve.

You can read the whole article, here:

http://www.digitaltradingsystems.com/forexprogrammer.html

It include an example about the case of switching to opposite trade, and from that example it seems almost "work miracles" on a no-good initial equity line.
