Topic: FSBpro EAs backtest in MetaTrader Strategy Tester

With FSBpro it is possible to create EAs using indicators that are not in the MT4 or MT5 library.  Can EAs containing indicators not in the MetaTrader library be accurately backtested with the MetaTrader Strategy Tester?

Re: FSBpro EAs backtest in MetaTrader Strategy Tester

It is how FSB Pro works.

When you export an Expert Advisor with FSB Pro, it comes with an embedded indicators code for all indicators the particular strategy is using.

This is accurate as possible for the standard FSB Pro indicators and most of the available custom indicators.

On the other hand, EA Studio uses mainly native MT indicators.

Thank you for the clarification!

Re: FSBpro EAs backtest in MetaTrader Strategy Tester

When backtesting an EA, created by FSBpro, in the MT4 Strategy Tester, which is the best model to use, Every tick, Control points, or Open prices?

Re: FSBpro EAs backtest in MetaTrader Strategy Tester

Hello Alann,

The MetaTrader 4's "Evry tick" is broken. I do not use it.

I prefer the Control Points method for the FSB Pro robots.

For the robots from EA Studio, I prefer Open price only.
