Dear All,

Found a website that provides free quality tick data since 2009.

It is by a technological company that provides Fx data to these brokers http://www.truefx.com/?page=partners

There is not much value of using these data for backtesting because it will be a difference later when you start trading on your MT. You cannot be sure that the data sources of your MT broker and TrueFx are same.

Now I'm trying to choose provider of tick data. Can you recommend me something? What do you think about renting these data? I find such site https://www.quantgo.com/. Have you work experience with this service?

Hm... could be an interesting stuff but I cannot imagine how this can be used for backtesting? The tick data could (and I presume DO!) vary from broker to broker. For example, I've experienced the following: big guys - like FXCM - has very dense tick streams (for example during the news releases) while small brokers usually just stumble at the same time without sending anything. Even small timeframes - i.e. M1, M5 and even M15 - could vary significantly from broker to broker - i.e. on broker A you see red candle but on broker B you see green.

Probably the best data is the broker that you use....... from your real account.
The software does a great job of working with the broker data and there is no confusion re time and bar formation.
To introduce new data may prove to be counterproductive.

My 'secret' goal is to push EA Studio until I can net 3000 pips per day....
