Topic: Not all bars read? 1/3

Hello,

I noticed that FSB seems not to read all bars - e.g. in FWIG60 there are 4475 bars, yet the FSB in 'Market statistics' indicates only 4285 bars in August 2011 version. In FWIG240 there are 1804 bars, yet the FSB indicates only 1739 bars in August 2011 version and 1796 in the last one. It does change the final result.

Moreover, I can not make the final version of FSB read the FWIG201440 file, although the August 2011 version reads it fine

What is the reason and how may I fix it? I attach the files

What strategy is loaded?
Indicators "take away" bars depending on the period, therefore first bar is with complete indicator readings. You should perform your tests without any indis.

I figured out the 'missing bar' issue [data input problem: FSB did not see the bars with e.g. 10 instead of 10.00, i.e. without full quotation.]

However, I still do not know why the new FSB version does not read the 1440 data. It states it can not count the bars, although I checked and there is no problem with the .00 [And the older FSB sees all the bars from that period]

I think it may help: the error message is ""Could not count the  data bars!" and then "Error in the data files".

I changed the hour to 00:00 as I read somewhere it may help, but it did not. I upload once more the modified file.

You have date and time separated by semicolon, there should just space
date; time
should be
date time

I do not think I have either semicolon or space - both date and time are in their separate columns, without anything else added.

Thank you, but it did not work.

Also, the 60 and 240 files (uploaded above) also have semicolons, yet FSB has no problem with them. It is something else.

my point was date and time should not be seprated in 2 columns
they should be in the same column

Both F20WIG 60 and F20WIG240 have data in separate columns and the latest FSB reads it with no problems.

Anyway, I put the F20WIG1440 data in a file with no columns, with 00:00 hour and spaces instead of semicolons -I will upload it later- and still the same error messages...

It depends on what program you use to open .csv file.
Really it is different in text editor and excel, as excel is changing the file.

All right, so here I upload a new file - not opened in Excel even once - with spaces instead of semicolons, 00:00:00 time and all data in the same column. Still, there are the same error messages and no read from FSB.

???

[I also note the FSB has no problem with other files for differnet time periods. ???]

PLEASE somebody help, I am stuck without it

format

FSB to read it, it should be like in this:

2011.07.25,00:00:00, 27.22,27.32,27.16,27.25,23789

Saving it as ANSI also helps size, instead of uuencode.

Replacing spaces with comas and the "-" with dots (as in the attached file) also did not help.

It should not be the date format, as the deafult data downloaded witht he FSB also is in 2011-07-25 and not 2011.07.25. Also the files for differnet timeframes which read well have date in 2011-07-25 format.

However, the problem must be in the date+hour recognition, not quotations, as the same quotations copied to another timeframe uploaded without a problem (although of course gave incorrect strategy results).

I tested the file from the first post F20WIG60.csv.
It was oped by FSB Pro without problems.

In F20WIG1440.csv I changed time from 18:00 to 00:00 and it was opened also.

I get the same error message "Could not count the data bars" in a different circumstance:
- I imported the date into MT4 without problems (through tickstory, which is dukascopy data)
- Then I tried to import the hst files, which seems to work in FSB without problems
- But then FSB cannot open the data...

When opening the csv I notice this was the format the csv "got":
2003-05-04    00:00    1.12284    1.15366    1.12018    1.14824    682190.40090

SO maybe something needs to be corrected in this case?

But the csv was created by FSB, not by MT4.

Volume must be an integer number from 1 to 10 digits. Here is the RegularExpression

VolumePattern = @"\d{1,10}";

Probably they can fix TickStory to export in FSB format. In that case I can promote it in forexsb website. Unfortunately no luck to post in their forum. Some email issue.
