I'd like to share a tool for beginning (mainly, but not only) traders designed recently.

It is called "Market 24h Clock", available as Windows XP/7 gadget.
Here I post shortly its description and what might be useful about it.

The clock gadget shows trading hours of major world stock exchanges in UTC. It is coordinated with your computer time. Switch to Daylight Saving Time and revert to standard time are automatic.

The Clock's dial is a pie chart with marked in time coordinates concentric segments, each showing trading session time on separate stock market. Surge in activity hours, are highlighted

You keep just one clock in front of you instead of several while trading.

Windows 7 gadget does not work for me. I just get a blank box. I have Win7-64bit if that makes a difference.

It works to me Win 7 54, but it shows only UTC. I cannot set it to show local time.

It also works for me Win 7 64bit but there doesn't appear to be any way to change the settings

I gather the gadget automatically sets itself for your computer time.

The gadget coordinates minutes and seconds with you system time, but the hour hand shows UTC time only for now. We are working on this issue.

I think the gagdet works as intended, now. You know your time, already. What you want to know is what markets are open at that time. But it seems to me there are different claims online as to when [UTC] those markets actually are open, especially as to the hours when the NZ, Aussie, Hong Kong, Singapore, markets open and close.
