Topic: Issue with Open/Close Trades at 00:00 - Request Failed Errors

Hello fellow traders,

I am encountering an issue with my trading software where trades fail to open or close precisely at 00:00. As shown in the attached image, I repeatedly receive errors such as in the photo


These failures occur consistently during the 00:00, time frame 1H and are accompanied by messages indicating that the "Market is closed," even though it should be operational.

For reference, my broker is Eightcap, and this issue is disrupting my strategies, particularly for XAUUSD, as trade executions are critical at this time.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems with Eightcap or other brokers? If so, were you able to resolve them? Any insights or solutions would be greatly appreciated!

I asked also the eightcap. here is the answer:

"In general our trading session for Shares starts five minutes later than the official market opening in order to prevent clients from losses, as the spread is wider and the market is quite volatile during a rollover. This is something common for the CFD trading in"

Is it true? is it also the same for other brokers?

You should check the contract specification in your MT and/or with your broker. For reference, I'll show you what I have. Do you see, there's no trading from 2355-0015. You should find that to be the case for you also (the question being the times where trading is unavailable).

EDIT: oh, you already got the answer. But have a look in mt for exact times.

Footon, you are very nice, as usual.

I trade on 1H timeframe, how do I setup the Expert Advisor Studio to delay the open/close for such a market ? I already searched in the strategies properties in MT5 it seems that there are no settings to be modified...

You can set it up under Tools->Trading session (pic attached for reference).

Or open your EA file and at line ~80 there's also a possibility to mark the times, but those have to be written in seconds.

But try and test to see if it carries the signal forward.
