Topic: MT4 backrest not matching FSB?

Hi,

I’m sure I’m doing something silly here but I can’t seem to figure it out.

I generated an EA in EA studio and then set the same settings to create an equivalent EA in FSB pro. Backtesting for each of them in the respective software gave agreeable results but when I export each of the EAs only the EA studio generated advisor shows similar results in MT4 backtesting (For open prices, control points and full tick model), the EA produced by FSBPRO is giving me wildly different results.

In a nutshell:

FSB=EASTUDIO=MT4 EA STUDIO != MT4 FSB EA?

Does anyone have any thoughts as to what might be causing this mismatch?

Hello Sam,

It must be no difference in normal conditions. It must have something in the particular strategy, the settings or in the data set.

To be easier to find what is going on, compare first the indicators' values.
FSB Pro experts show the value son teh MT chart.
EA Studio experts use the MT's default indicators, so you have to set them on teh chart.
Both experts must show equal or very similar indicator values.
If there are no problems' there, you have to compare the individual signals.

Please find a particular order which differs on both experts. Then find it in the backtest in FSB Pro and in EA Studio.

You will locate the exact problem in that case. then we will know what is going on and how to fix it.
