This update provides the user interface part of the Portfolio management.
I have plans to provide various types of Portfolio experts - locally calculated netting and hedging experts for MT4 and MT5.
The netting expert have to be able to work even for the USA brokers.

I saw a new experimental option added (hedging) how does it work for a calculated strategy (or portfolio)?

The Hedging Portfolio Expert trader multiple strategies on a single MT chart. It is called "hedging" because it opens a separate position for each included strategy and it may happen to have positions in both direction.
The key feature of this expert is that it can be tested in MT4.

Is there any way to create a multi asset, multi timeframe portfolio? I would love to be able to build a largely uncorrelated portfolio across a wide range of assets and timeframes.

Currently the Portfolio works only on one instrument, so you can do it by creating separate portfolios for each market you want to include in the basket.
