Topic: Many Signals / Lesser ITM Rate VS Fewer Signals / Better ITM Rate

Hello fellow Trader,

What is your experience in this field?
Is an EA stronger with 75% ITM Rate with 200 Signals on 20000 candles
or
Is an EA stronger with 65% ITM Rate with 600 Signals on 20000 candles

Also what do you think about testing on 40000 Candles or more?

Thank you for sharing.

Regards,
Flo

Re: Many Signals / Lesser ITM Rate VS Fewer Signals / Better ITM Rate

I suggest that you do some testing with FSBPro by changing the dates and checking various periods,

It is difficult for someone to know the good points and bad points of an EA without having the thing to test.

Under 'Market' at the top of the screen is 'Data Horizon', you can manipuilate the dates to develop different testing periods...... and see what the perfrmance is for each.

Using a test result for the whole period does not tell the whole story as there may be some terrible periods in one of ytour tests that does not show in the other.

Try that.....

Try to use several metrics to evaluate and also examine the journal closely for hidden demons....

Trusting one metric....... well, I just have found that they all can be flawed.

Re: Many Signals / Lesser ITM Rate VS Fewer Signals / Better ITM Rate

what means FSBpro?

Re: Many Signals / Lesser ITM Rate VS Fewer Signals / Better ITM Rate

I can see what FSBpro is. How do you apply it to BO-Tester?

Re: Many Signals / Lesser ITM Rate VS Fewer Signals / Better ITM Rate

Flo, you can upload up to 200 000 bars data from your MT to BO Tester.
