Topic: Factal with variable framenumber?

I it hard to modify the standard fractal indicator to add a box so that you can modify the frame size (number of lower highs or higher lows left and right)?

Set appropriate fractal condition in the closing point slot.

[Closing Point of the Position]
     Fractal
Exit long at an Up Fractal
Visibility  -  The fractal is visible
     Vertical shift  -  0

If I understood this correctly, this will close a long when an upfractal occurs.
I want to set the stop at the level where it occurs, so that the position is only closed when the price breaks the level of this fractal.

We are dealing with a closing point, not a closing condition. There's a principal difference. See the pic attached - a long position is opened and it is closed at an up fractal (a price level).

got it.
the closing level is from the 4th candel right?
thanks a lot

Re: Factal with variable framenumber?

The pic represents:

  • Position opening in 01/06

  • Up fractal formation in 06/06

  • Confirmed up fractal, active price level in 11/06

  • Position closing, up fractal is hit in 14/06
