Topic: Ducascopy.csv to FSB

I have downloaded some Dax30-timerange as csv-file from ducascopy because my broker data are too few.
but it does not work in FSB. The filr looks like this:

Then I tried to separet it in columns like this, but did also not work:

I see that the files whitch are o.k. look little bit different but I don't get it transformed into that format:

What can I do? Does anyone know how to solve that,
thank you

Re: Ducascopy.csv to FSB

Hi, I don't know how to solve your problem, but I can recommend what I am using. I am using tickstory software, for easier data downloading from dukascopy. It have already fsb data format, also it can change data timezones, it was big problem for me when my broker had +2 DST time and dukas data only 0 gmt ...

Agree with Irmantas

My 'secret' goal is to push EA Studio until I can net 3000 pips per day....

Re: Ducascopy.csv to FSB

Thank you very much for the tickstory-hint.
That took me already a step further.
I have installed and tried, but do not quite understand yet how to use.
Do I have to use "download..", "export to file..." or "export to MT4..."?
I managed to get some hst-files with tickstory-name to a MT4-directory, but don't know how to get it from ther to FSB
When I tried to export into file as "csv" I recieced an error, that the access to the path was denied.
Is it possible to use the free SW or do I need the paid version.
Please explain how you do it.

Re: Ducascopy.csv to FSB

get the data into MT4 and then to FSB  (Export to Mt4)

keep in mind this data is not the same as your broker... but as weeks pass your broker data will be in there

Re: Ducascopy.csv to FSB

Hi again,
I press right mouse button on the symbol, then choose export to file, choose time period (since 2007), timeframe, timezone and Output format "Forex SB bar Format". Set a name in this manner "AUDUSD1440.csv". After finishing I cut and paste these files to fsb data folders smile Not sure if you can do this with free version, I am using paid one, long time ago was using it real tick data for some EA back testing and simulated fast learning with mt4...

Re: Ducascopy.csv to FSB

Thank you for your help, the "export to mt4" and then to fsb works already, the "export to file" way I still have to try.
A little note I want to make is, that JFD names the indexes with a dot in front (e.g. ".DE30Cash") but a dot is not accepted in the symbol-name, so I had to remove them.
Thanks
