Topic: what does these results mean?

i generated a strategy which gave a total balance of 38000 when tested with fsb data, only 8000 when tested with dukascopy data and a balance of 33000 when tested with dmmfx live data.

what does this mean?

Re: what does these results mean?

In short - it means that the data is different.

Every broker has a different dynamic of the data and different volume. It is possible your strategy to be over-optimized for one data source and to not work on another.

Checking a strategy on different Data Sources is a good practice. The Multi Market tool is perfect for that purpose.

It is a good practice to use data from your live account for developing strategies.
