Topic: The Generated EA Won't Open Any Orders on Mt4 tester

Dear All

I've just created a strategy using FSB mostly based Super Trend indicator, and exported it into Mt4 EA, everything looks fine on FSB tester but, when I tested it on MT4 tester, it won't open any trades.

There are no error messages on the journal tab.

I noticed the message on Mt4 chart is always saying that long and short entry were not allowed on Super Trend indicator even though the conditions were met.

On demo trading does it open trades?

Hi Footon, thank you for visisting this thread, I haven't tried it on demo account.

Have you ever experienced similar issue with super trend?

I wouldn't jump to conclusions with super trend yet. Mt tester is garbage, I stopped using it after I discovered FSB. Only value it has is to test if the EA works and does it follow its logic. But even for this little assignment it can fail badly, therefore I only demo trade for last check-ups. Please try demo and we can go on from there.

A common mistake is number of lots you use and account in MT4 is 10,000 USD. Increase it.
Please check them

Metatester it is not sure if it works fine. Its every tick methodology is not fine except to use all ticks data.

FSB pro gives same results with MT4 AND MT5 in few seconds and MT4/MT5 after a lot of time.

Also Metaquotes try to full everybody. I cannot find anymore mql.exe or mql64.exe to download!!!
Why all this thing?
This company moves against trader in my opinion.

Yes Footon, I also have a plan to start a demo account

BTW I change the super trend indicator slot with WPR, and the MT4 tester finally works, the result is not as good as supertrend though. The other indicators slot and another parameters are remain the same.

Hi GD, thank you for the suggestion.

I've increased (and decreased) the lot size and the initial balance, but it doesn't work.

I changed the super trend indicator with WPR, and the tester finally works, the result is worse though.

I think some indicators need some number of data to run.
Maybe the bars are not enough
Check journal when you run EA.
And run previous EA again.

I made a demo myself. Indeed, a problem was detected. I don't remember who made the conversion, but it had a slight error in the naming of every logic (article "the" was missing). I rectified the error, made last checks in demo and it works as it should. Both files in repo are updated, suggest you do the same on your end.
