Dear users,

We want to update the default data set for the next FSB releases.
Please advise what is the best data set according to your experience.

- Periods: M1, M5, M15, M30, H1, H4, D1, W1
- Count of bars: 20 000, 30 000, 40 000, or 50 000

Re: Competition for providing new default data set for next FSB release

hello pop

What do you mean by the best data set!!!!   And may  the new ideas may contain a complete different approach ?

Example :
"Symbols: EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, USDJPY, one index, one stock"

My idea is to make it universal data reader   is that a type of data set advice you need !!!!!

Re: Competition for providing new default data set for next FSB release

Ahmed I need demo data files to put them in the next FSB distribution.

..

We cannot easily make an universal data reader because the different platforms have different data format. FSB already supports some of the most important sources.

Re: Competition for providing new default data set for next FSB release

Hi Popov,

I can get you any datasets from Oanda. They have been reliable for me. Let me know if you want any.

Adam, you can upload the data set somewhere and to post a link here. If data are full and without errors we can use them in FSB distribution.

Re: Competition for providing new default data set for next FSB release

Hey Popov,

Silly question time...

Is it ok to use HST files, etc that have been converted from raw tick data?

Have fun!

Yes, they can be used. The demo data does not pretend to be compatible with the user's broker. They have to full and with minimum days off. Collected tick data can be of especially good quality. If you have a full set, you are welcome to publish it.

Re: Competition for providing new default data set for next FSB release

Hey Popov,

I should have a few bits together in a few days, (downloading from the tick data source is so slow).

Have fun!
