where oh where is the promised article by Popov on the recent Break-even modification of FSB????   For this member, the MT4-FST Expert based on the FSB doesn't do what the FSB and FST says it will do.  If someone, anyone, gets advertised results, just say so.  It would be nice to know what you have to do to get them to work as advertised, but just confirming that YOU have would be appreciated.   Here's what it says  the Expert willl do

"The position's Stop Loss will be set to Break Even price when the profit reaches" the BreakEven setting under Strategy Properties.
In the demo stategy supplied by Popov, that BE setting is 500 pips. I tried BE 200-350 with Winner-Reduce or Winner-Nothing strategies and none of them when linked by FST to MT4 result in setting the BE S/L setting.  Why??

Please post the complete strategy so someone can work with it and look for a fix.

Dear Moderator-Fixer;  I realized  that simply having "Winner" for next signal wasn't enough, some of the winners need to exceed the BE amount to trigger the new breakeven feature.  So I chose BE setting as low as I could get it and still have more than $100profit, namely BE=227 ->$122 [with no SL or TP settings.  When the generator is then allowed to select a TP, it tends to select a TP at or below the BE setting, which means the profit would never get to the BE setting.  When you choose Take Profit for the closing point of the position, that optimized Take Profit value also tends to at or below the BE setting.] And  even if that all gets explained, it still doesn't explain how get all these "0.00" profit trades.  They seem to result whenever a WINNER strategy is employed , but no winners are added.

When I use Break-even FSB-FST expert on demo account, it returns a true zero profit trade.  that is,  it sets the S/L price at the entry price.  0.00 profit.  it's supposed to add[Long]/subtract[short] the Break-even setting to the average entry price.  That's what the Overview of the FST-attached-to Demo chart Strategy SAYS it's going to do, but it doesn't.  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am using break-even in a strategy I am running and it appears to work perfectly. I am not using winner though. In fact I don't use any strategy that uses winner or add because I feel that if it is a good strategy it should work without pyramiding.

Your issue needs to be dealt with by developer, he will be back, but for now you have to just wait, there's not much we or you can do.

And secondly, on the one hand I understand your frustration, we all know the feeling, but on the other hand, double-posting or triple-posting your posts is not helping anyone. If there were an administator in this forum, you could possibly get banned for this.

thanks for acknowledging my serious concern of 3-4 months past about Breakeven not functioning as advertised in overviews.    can't believe I'm the only one having this serious problem.   won't try to use BE on demo or live accounts again  and you'll hear no more from me until it's fixed
