Forex Strategy Builder Pro Alpha 7.0
I'm happy to announce FSB Pro A 7. It's the first release with working Generator
The major changes in this release are:
- Working Generator (though Top 10 Strategies is under development). - Asynchronous backtest. - Acceptance Criteria made global. - Added new stats in Account Statistics info panel. It shows also the Acceptance Criteria status. - Introduced colored tans for busy strategies – green when trading and orange when building.
Several bugs were fixed: - Crash in fast changing indicators in Indicator Properties dialog. - Fixed Undo issue after Save As. - Fixed issue with connection closing in Trader. - Connection close buttons are disabled during trading. - Fixed warning messages and parms text of Fractal, Ross Hook, Stop Limit, Exit Hour indicators. - Fixed missing tooltips of parameters in Indicator Properties dialog.
Other notes:
- OOS backtest in Generator is fixed to 30%. It is using when you set OOS Balance sorting method. When you do so, Balance / Equity chart shows OOS line. - Generator makes its own copy of the current profile (including Acceptance Criteria) when start generating. If you have changed Acceptance Criteria after starting the Generator and you want to use it, you have to stop and start Generator. - Generator currently shows only the best strategy according to the selected sorting method. Top Strategies collection will be implemented soon. - The original Generator - Initial Optimization option is separated to two new options: Optimization and Normalization. They are placed n Generator Settings dialog. When Optimization is on, Generator changes the strategies in order to find a better stats. Normalization tries to simplify the strategy without reducing the stats values.

Forex Strategy Builder Pro Alpha 5.3
FSB Pro Alpha 5.3 released. Bug fixed:
- Fixed crash with Indicators Repository page when an indicator rating is a float number.
- Fixed rear crash with auto trading caused by multitasking issue.
- Trade Status panel updates only if panel is visible. This reduces the load and fixes possible initialization crash.
- Other minor improvements.
Forex Strategy Builder Pro Alpha 5.2
FSB Pro Alpha 5.2 is available for download and autoupdate. It fixes three bugs:
- Crash on Repository page (wrong reading of strategy rating number);
- Crash when press Trade All button on Trader tool strip and there is not connected connection;
- Eventual fix error with trader connection record strip. (Actually I was not able to reproduce that crash. )
Please report any other issues you may encounter.
Forex Strategy Builder Pro Alpha 5.1
Program updated to Alpha 5.1
- It fixes bugs with “Day Closing 2” and “Week Closing 2” indicators. (Bug reported by SpiderMan);
- Fixed an eventual bug with some indicators where the execution time is Bar Opening (ex, MA(1));
- Fixed a bug with Launcher - splash screen doesn't close after moving;
- Fixed Auto Start Trader (Ctr + Shift + A)
- Several improvements and fixes in trader.
Forex Strategy Builder v3.0.1
Forex Strategy Builder v3.0.1 was released.
- It fixes bugs with “Week Closing 2” indicators. (Bug reported by SpiderMan);
- Fixed also a bug with Launcher - splash screen doesn't close after moving;
Strategies that uses “Week Closing 2” have to be arranged manually in FSB because the fixed indicator has different parameters and strategies cannot be loaded. You can save first your strategies with “Week Closing” exit and to recover it after loading in the new version.
Forex Strategy Trader v3.2.1
Bug fix release of FST v3.2.1 is available.
- It fixes bugs with “Day Closing 2” and “Week Closing 2” indicators. (Bug reported by SpiderMan);
- Fixed an eventual bug with some indicators where the execution time is Bar Opening (ex, MA(1));
- Fixed also a bug with Launcher - splash screen doesn't close after moving;
- Added Russian translation (emailed me by Viktor);
Strategies that uses “Week Closing 2” have to be arranged manually in FST because the fixed indicator has different parameters and strategies cannot be loaded. You can save first your strategies with “Week Closing” exit and to recover it after loading in the new version.
Forex Strategy Builder Pro Alpha 3
Forex Strategy Builder Professional - Alpha 3 is uploaded. You can find a download link at “Download” page of the website. Current user will be prompted to update if “Check for updates” option is on.
What is new:
- FSB Pro loads and compiles indicators in dll format. Compiled indicators are saved in C:\Program Files\Forex Strategy Builder Pro\User Files\Libraries folder.
- Improved integration with the online Code Repository. You can load indicators and strategies with one click.
- Added Proxy settings in Control Panel → General page.
Forex Strategy Builder v2.74
January 01, 2013 - The first day of the new year starts with a new Forex Strategy Builder version. It includes a new performance test and statistical meta data in strategy file.
- The Performance test can be started from Tools → Additional → Run performance test.
- The program saves calculation statistical data in the strategy file. These data are for compatibility with the new Code Base section of the website (currently under development). FSB Pro will use these data also to show preview of the strategy on its start screen. Please share any positive or negative experience with Forex Strategy Builder.
Forex Strategy Builder v2.73
December 15, 2012 - Forex Strategy Builder v2.73 comes with some minor fixes:
- Fill in Data Gaps option under Market menu fills in only gaps in working days and leaves weekend gaps open.
- ATR Stop Indicator - fixed minimum stop value for 5 digits quotations.

Forex Strategy Trader v1.6
August 20, 2012 - Forex Strategy Trader v1.6 was published. The most important new features are integration of Martingale Money Management, autostart function via a batch file, charting and logging of SL and TP. Reporting wrong Close order and repeating the order periodically.
Full list of changes:
- Martingale Money Management integrated;
- Expert logs position parameters at the beginning of every bar.
- Expert detects and logs activation of Take Profit and Stop Loss;
- FST shows activation of Take Profit and Stop Loss on Journal and on Chart.
- Fixed issue with repeating wrong SL and TP from FST.
- Included autostart feature proposed by Acerguest.
- Added installing options to the installation file.
- Added option for automatic log to a file.
- Activating orders when Close price touches indicator (for Markup brokers).
- Max bars limit in chart expanded to 10000 bars.
- Fixed a bug with ATR Stop indicator.
- FST shows a warning message and plays an error sound when detects a failed close order.
