Topic: Newbie here with a dumb question.

Hey Guys,

Im really new at all this Metatrader EA stuff and custom strategy backtesting. Came across this wonderful software and love it! A big thank you to the developers! Anyways in my first attempt to create a strategy I cant seem to find how to backtest the data. Is it supposed to backtest in real time or what? Not sure what im doing wrong. Can someone give me an easy strategy to practice with? Say a 5/20 ma crossover.. Im not sure what im doing wrong.

Ok im seeing data now, I had my account set at 1000 instead of 10000 for some reason and once i changed it to 10,000 it works fine. Anybody know why this is?

Incorrect opening lot sizes I guess.
