Topic: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

I am a beginner with the FSB.
I create a test EURUSD_H1 Strategy with the FSB Historical Data (Dukascopy) the Equity is very good.
But then i load the Datas from my DemoBrokerAccount and the equity is down.

What should i do?
I do not understand why there are so difference.

Re: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

Maybe the default data source have different timezone to your broker (most broker have GMT+2), please compare the timezone and make adjustment in data download timezone.

The simpler and more accurate way is to import the data directly from your broker.

do or do not there is no try

Re: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

Different data produces different results. FX is not centralized market, therefore there's no one "right" data. Secondly, if your strat is so sensitive to data changes, it can indicate it's rubbish.

Ok but the Data History H1 from my Broker is only one year.
Not enough to generate a strategy with this data.

Re: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

According to this website http://www.tradingcenter.org/index.php/ … eviews/247 AAAFX timezone is GMT (UTC)+2, and FSB default timezone is GMT (UTC) 0, if you haven't made any adjustment, please do it and redownload the historical data. Then see if the result is changed.

However to achieve an accurate result is by using your own broker data as Popov explained in above video

do or do not there is no try

Re: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

I see the video, but i don´t know how to change the timezone.

The video teach you how to load most of your broker data. In order to change the timezone in FSB, please go to History center -> check "change data file time zone" -> change to UTC+2 -> click download

do or do not there is no try

Re: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

Thanks for the help yonkuro
It does not matter which city in UTC+2 i use?

Is this function to change the timezone also in the older free versions?

Yes, it doesn't matter. About the older version, I'm not sure.

Ok but when i download the Date with UTC+2 in the ProVersion then i can use the same UTC+2 Data in the older Version or?

Re: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

There is no older free version. It was retired 2 years ago and it is not supported anymore.

Re: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

Yes, I meant the old Version of FSB.

Re: Differences between FSB and Broker Data

Please use only the FSBPro, the former version has a few errors in it, and is no longer supported by the developer.

Use the current version and only the current version as the program is evolving rapidly.

You will find that you are wasting your valuable time if you use other than the current version of FSBPro.

My 'secret' goal is to push EA Studio until I can net 3000 pips per day....
