Topic: Clarity on decimal point

If in FSB/Control Panel/Symbols/Digits I specify 5 digits, then do I need to add a zero when specifying e.g. Stop Loss in the Editor or Generator?
So if I want a 10 point Stop I must specify in FSB 'Stop Loss' 100?

Much appreciated.

I really dont know the answer myself but these might help.

Re: Clarity on decimal point

Thanks Yavor, helpful but still not clear to me.

If I understand, traders conventionally refer to "Points" at the 4th decimal so 0.0001 = 1 "Point" (?)

So, if in FSB/Control Panel/Symbols/Digits=5 and 'Point Value'= 0.0001 then 1 "Point" =10?

And these questions:
If Bid Ask spread is e.g. 1.13977-1.13897=0.008
1. So, with 'Digits'=5, In FSB/Control Panel/Symbols/Spread = 80?

2. If Slippage is 2 "Points" do I write 20?
3. If Stop, Take Profit or Break Even is 20 "Points" do I write 200?

Re: Clarity on decimal point

Yes, you have to add additional"0" if there's 3/5 digits.

Thank you Footon.

Re: Clarity on decimal point

Apologies, I just need to confirm my understanding to try avoid stupid mistakes and wasting time.

If Bid Ask spread is e.g. 1.13977-1.13897=0.008

Then in In FSB/Control Panel/Symbols/
If 'Digits'=5 and Point Value=0.00001

=>Then Spread should be written as = 80.00?

Re: Clarity on decimal point

1.13977-1.13897 = 0.0008

0.0008 / 0.00001 = 80

The spread is 80 points.
