That makes sense. How would I set the EA to open another position while still having one open?

If your account is $1000, 2% is equal to $20.
Let's say your broker's leverage is 1/30. It means you can open a position of $20 * 30 = $600 (or 508 EUR).
The normal lot size for EURUSD is 100000 EUR, so 508 / 100000 = 0.005. However, the minimum amount you can trade is 0.01 Lot.

It means that 0.01 * 100000 = 1000 EUR, which requires 1000 / 30 = 33.33 EUR leverage. It is 39.33 USD or about 4% of your account.

You need an account of $2000 if you want to open a position of 0.01 lot EURUSD with a required margin of 2% of it.

How would I have my EA open a new position at 2% of the account equity? Maybe I am misunderstanding. Please help!

How long do you think will take to double your account?

If it is more than a week, you can simply stop your expert on Saturday, increase the lot size and run it again.

Hello,

I would like to add the ability for the EA to increase lot sizes when a certain amount of equity has been reached.

So if the equity is $1000 or less, I would like the lot size to be .1.
If it is $2000.00 to $1001, I would like it to be .2 lot size.

I am new to this software and I appreciate your help.
