There are a few ways to be protected:
- Only trade during times that volume is very active
- Use the spread indicator for FSB, this indicator is very peculiar , because it works in real time but does not let you test the EA , once added , so you can only added once all testing's have been done.

I do not know any other defense to large spreads .
