Thanks for the screenshot, clears things up!

As I see it, you had automatic PBV usage control turned off! It is better to be turned on, then similar mistakes can't happen. See the screenshot, if PBV usage is automatic, you can't manually set PBV in the indicator window!

I overlooked weighted base price in the price move indi yesterday, that's why I thought everything is ok.

You are correct, PBV must be used, otherwise you get unreliable results which can't be possible in live trading, though doesn't that equity curve look nice

Hey,

Attachments won't work, sorry for that. But instead of copying the xml, use Publish Strategy feature in FSB, new window appears, copy and paste its contents, then it is nice and tidy and easy to read.

You say too nice strat which doesn't work because of too smooth equity curve? And then you say the problem lies in not using previous bar value (PBV), for this reason my question - did you turn PBV automatic usage control off?

If I look at your strat, there's nothing wrong! Where did you get the idea the problem might be PBV?

Hi all!

I am quite new on this forum, this is my first post here. I found this software last week and it is so nice, i cannot stop playing with it

But when it's strategy generator finds a strategy which draws a straight balance graph like this, i always start to search the failure, because i think it must be there. I know this one fails, but i cannot find why.

Strategy Properties
Same direction signal - Add
Opposite direction signal - Reverse
Permanent Stop Loss - 1000
Permanent Take Profit - 1000
Break Even - None
Opening Point of the Position
Price Move
Enter long after a downward move
Base price - Weighted
Price move - 192
Use previous bar value - No
Closing Point of the Position
Bar Closing
Exit the market at the end of the bar
Base price - Close
Closing Logic Condition
Oscillator of Momentum
[a]The Oscillator crosses the zero line downward
Smoothing method - Exponential
Base price - Close
Momentum1 period - 16
Momentum2 period - 24
Use previous bar value - No
Closing Logic Condition
Force Index
The Force Index rises
Smoothing method - Exponential
Base price - Open
Period - 3
Use previous bar value - No

Charges
Spread - 20.00 pips (20.00 USD*)
Swap number for a long position rollover - 0.50 pips (0.50 USD*)
Swap number for a short position rollover - -0.50 pips (0.50 USD*)
Commission per lot at opening and closing - 0.00 pips (0.00 USD*)
Slippage - 5 pips (5.00 USD*)

Trading Size
Always trade a constant number of lots.

Opening of a new position - 0.1 lots.
Adding to a position - 0.1 lots.
