I dont have a clue what this error means... just something i picked up elsewhere:

The error you described is very generic and not related to ASP.NET only.

This happens due to the fact that result or gr array values are over flowing the array dimension.

So, check the dimention of both the arrays and debug the line where you assign value to arrays.

do you get this error when using a custom indicator?

nevertheless, open config.xml and change "bridgeWritesLog" from false to true, then you can check what is wrong hopefully from the log file.

no custom indicators - though i'll definitely try your suggestion - many thanks for that

but as i read the error log above (winXP generated), i get the feeling it's a win sys file that needs changing - I already opened a config file (win sys) it references but nothing with JIT shows up - might be inside one of the dll files....or? but that would require a C++ IDE which i don't have....

my other laptop seems to be fine with FST, so I'm guessing this will probably be a  re-install of XP
