It also depends on your Broker's max limit on the number of open positions allowed.

Most brokers has 200-400 max open positions allowed.  So if you put 1000 EA, only the 1st 200 EA (if the max limit is 200) that open positions are allowed to trade and these rest that attempt to open a position, MT4 will deny any additional entries till, some of those opened positions are closed.

If a portfolio attached, a lot would depend on the time frame of the strategies as that may overload the processor.

A few years ago, I had more than 2000 strategies on one MT4, they were 4 hour and daily
