This means you will have to reload EA Studio to refresh it anyway.

Use Ctrl + F5 to reload the app.

How do I know when the desktop EA Studio needs to be refresh or update to the latest version like the chrome version?  If I keep the desktop EA studio open all the door for few weeks, is there a way to refresh the app directly with out closing the app?

Stops you from inadvertently shutting down EA Studio when you have multiple tabs open in your browser and want to close them.
