Hi Footon..thanks for the link... engulfing pattern is what am looking for..but i get the following error message "obsolete format of source code of file" when i load the file.

Hi Footon- thanks for your response. But am looking for if the bar is an outside bar..these three conditions are not an outside bar, not an inside bar and neither an inside or an outside bar.

Is there someway these can be manipulated to create a condition which reads as previous bar is an outside bar..

I see indicators for no outside bar and no inside bar. Do we have an indicator for outside bar.
