If you switch it off, the backtest will correspond to the auto-trading.

The easiest way to check it is to scroll the chart to a place with several deals. The simply switch on and off the True Charts options without changing anything other. Do you see the deals changing? I don't think so.

The only difference between both modes is visual. It doesn't changes the way FSB backtests and trades.
