i just DLed data from dukascopy

wondering why there r so many 0 volume sticks

there were so many setting , maybe i did it wrong?

mind to teach how to DL correct data from Dukascopy?

btw i was using this

I use 'Tickstory' to download data.

You can go to their site and download their software.

You can also use Dukascopy 'Jforex' data.....

Best that you explore both of these, Dukas will give you considerably more data than Tickstory, there is some documentation in this site for Dukas.

Always better to use broker's data. MQ data can be really bad - gaps and holes make it unusable for development.

my broker only provides 2k bars for a pair on 1H so I figured go to download more data but there was warning message showed up.

"please do not forget that the downloaded history data can differ from the data stored on the trade server"

I guess that means the data is from 3rd party "MetaQuotes Software Corp" not broker so data may be slightly different.

wondering if its ok to use "MetaQuotes Software Corp" data to build strategy and use the broker to run test?
