			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>I wonder what&#039;s the maximum bar we can set to increase the 1min FSB demo data?&nbsp; </p><p>During each update, what&#039;s the longest 1min FSB demo data is being made available if I can increase the max bar to my computer&#039;s capacity? 3mths? 1year? 10years?</p><p>Probably the default is to prevent people&#039;s computer from crashing due to limited ram.</p><p>I wished the information about changing the default bar max to increase historical data for 1min would be a bit more prominent for new comers to take note of such setting and hence, increase the default for themselves and maximise the potential of FSB pro 1min abilities.</p><p>Can this function of changing data max bar be made easily available in the market setting tab or data source section in the FSB Pro, can this function be added in together with the add data source section?</p>]]></content>

It would seem that a much longer back test would increase the the variability of the market and make for more robust strategies.</p><p>Thanks,</p></blockquote></div><p>Vidagig has posted his historical data for us, here is his instruction on how to increase the bar so that you can increase FSB historical data</p><p>How to increase amount of historical data in FSB: (manually over-ride the default 50 000 bars)<br />(as described elsewhere on this forum)<br />NB: The bigger the historical data set the more strain on your computer when using FSB - can cause instability.<br />FSB needs lots of Ram generally I&#039;m learning the hard way to reduce my demands on FSB and also to pre-emptively restart when I see things getting sluggish and before a computer crash. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>You can increase the number of bars easily....... and that will, of course, slow the process.</p><p>I think Hannahis uses a larger number of bars as she works with the faster time frames. That one is easy.</p><p>I will email Popov and see what he thinks..... he has to be allowed to ponder our radical ideas hahaha</p><p>He seems open to doing most things we ask as long as they fit into the lengthy &#039;to do&#039; list that he has made.</p><p>ps. I for one would be willing to increase my monthly subscription fee for premium features as I&#039;m sure that others would as well.&nbsp; ForexSB is a great platform, and with some of the premium features that we&#039;ve been discussing, it would put this platform way ahead of the pack. </p><p>Would love to hear from Popov and others on their thoughts on solid methodologies that leverage the current features of the product to create solid and robust multi markets strategies that can stand the test of time. 			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p><strong>Multi Markets</strong></p><p>We have to keep in mind that the more complex a strategy, the more difficult to pass MultiMarkets tests.</p><p>My approach is to use simple strategies and use MultiMarkets as I develop the strategy.</p><p>It is up to us, individually, to determine what tests we are going to use in MultiMarkets to establish robustness. There are many options available.</p><p>I have developed a few strategies using only the open and close..... no opening or closing logic slots</p><p>I have also developed a few strategies using &#039;Default Numeric Values&#039; and no opening or closing logic slots.</p><p>In those ways I have cut down on the inputs and had better luck with Multi Markets and also cut down considerably on the amount of time to get a selection of strategies to test.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>There is a software which will handle more than one instrument at a time, it costs about 5 times as much as FSBPro.</p><p>I am not too sure that its users have a lot better luck than we do, the program takes a long time to process the data and requires a powerful computer.</p><p>FSBPro has been designed and priced to accommodate traders who have not the deepest pockets so that users with smaller machines and budgets can create effective strategies.</p><p>As you may know, the developer originally spent a few years creating a completely free version and then decided that he wanted to offer more and developed FSBPro.</p><p>The original Forex Strategy Builder was downloaded by millions of people and the odd person contributed a few dollars once in a while.</p><p>To take FSBPro to another level, a price had to be assigned to pay for server and programmer time.</p><p>To go to the next level, which I know has been considered, is going to take another great amount of time and expense for the developer.</p><p>For myself, I would like to see the features that you propose...... perhaps we all can contribute some serious monies to allow that to happen.</p><p>I would guess that a programmer would charge somewhere in the range of 30,000 to 50,000 USD to create such a program, perhaps if we had substantial subscriptions, we could convince the developer to go ahead and prepare a new software.</p><p>What are your thoughts on that?</p><p>Say we had subscriptions totaling&nbsp; 3,000 or 5,000 monthly, I think we could make a proposal to the developer and get what we want.</p><p>I am sure he would write a great program and would not overcharge, however, he is committed to this program, as you can tell from the rapid support and constant improvements, and therefore would need some commitments from people in order to develop another program.</p><p>Feel free to add your ideas and comments.</p><p>daveM</p>]]></content>

Actually this is what the fx generators and optimizers do.
