			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Watisit......</p><p>When you say the bar is &#039;long&#039;, I am thinking you mean higher high and higher low..... is that correct.....?</p><p>I am asking for a precise definition as to what you mean for long and short....</p><p>I can see that you would not be able to use a moving average if you are changing from long to short within one or two bars, you may be looking for a price action bar pattern...</p><p>It should be easy enough to code the price bar pattern that you are looking for.</p>]]></content>

			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>What i need is something that goes by only the previous bar. If it is long = buy, Short = sell.</p><p>Let&#039;s say that the overall trend is up, but there are one or two bars in the middle which are short bars. By my strategy, i would be closing my long position and opening a short position, then closing it and opening a long position when the next bar is long. </p><p>In short i&#039;m assuming that (most of the time) when a bar closes as a long, the next bar will be a long too.&nbsp; </p><p>The crossover indicator you provided would simply ignore all that and keep the position until some other exit criteria is met.</p>]]></content>

The closest i could find was previous bar closing but that&#039;s wrong too. Thanks.</p><p>Strategy:</p><p>Open Long:<br />Previous bar is upwards</p><p>Exit:<br />At the first bar which closes with a short. And then immediately take a short position from there.</p>]]></content>
