Topic: error message in expert advisor

Hi,
I am trying to start the FST Expert Advisor and get the error message:

"cannot load "MT4-FST Library.dll"

I installed the library in the MQL4\Libraries folder (under the directory that opens with "Open Data Folder" in the MT4 menu).

What could be wrong?

Do you have Microsoft VC++ 2010 installed?

Yes, I installed it before istalling the EA/dll. (Version 10.0.30319).

Can you download and run Expert Installer: http://forexsb.com/forum/topic/4731/exp … aller-v13/. It will reinstall the expert and the library files and also will clean the MT4 cache.

MetaTrader has to be stopped.

It looks like the zip-file (Expert-installer.zip) is corrupted. I tried to extract it and got only a error message ("the zip comressed folder is empty"). I tried the download an extracting several times, always with the same result. Could you please check it ?

Thank you, now I could extract it.
And I found another problem (my mistake): I installed the wrong version of Microsoft Visual C++ (x64 instead of x86). Now with the new versions of the Expert and the right Visual C++ the EA is working.
